Apple Ships Record $2 Billion iPhones to U.S.!

Apple made headlines when its main Indian suppliers, Foxconn and Tata, shipped nearly $2 billion worth of iPhones to the U.S. in March. This record shipment was a strategic move to avoid tariffs imposed by President Trump. To ensure they had enough iPhones for the U.S. market, Apple ramped up production in India and used cargo flights to transport 600 tons of devices. Even though the U.S. government set a 26% duty on imports from India, it was much lower than the tariffs on China. This operation has made Foxconn’s total shipments from India to the U.S. reach $5.3 billion this year.
