Sridhar Ramaswamy, an alumnus of IIT Madras, has become the new CEO of Snowflake, a US-based data cloud company. Ramaswamy aims to leverage the vast potential in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). His leadership role follows Snowflake's acquisition of Neeva, an ad-free search engine co-founded by Ramaswamy. Known for his significant contributions during 15 years at Google, he played a key role in the explosive growth of AdWords and Google's ad revenue. Ramaswamy's academic background includes a B.Tech from IIT Madras and a Ph.D. from Brown University.
