This subsidiary aims to advance research, design, testing, and support for third-party manufacturers. According to regulatory filings, Apple Operations India will procure engineering equipment, lease facilities, hire engineers, and provide failure analysis for the company’s hardware projects. In a unique step for India, this initiative may involve local hardware development and testing, broadening Apple's role beyond assembly and sales in India.
