Birla Opus Paints Becomes India’s No. 2 by Capacity

Grasim Industries, part of the Aditya Birla Group, inaugurated its fourth paint plant in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, boosting Birla Opus Paints’ total capacity to 866 MLPA, making it India’s second-largest decorative paint maker. The new ₹8,470 crore facility uses advanced technology and focuses on sustainable production. Launched in 2024, the brand offers 129 products and serves over 4,300 towns. With two more plants in development, it targets ₹10,000 crore revenue in three years. It also introduced PaintCraft Partner, a franchise-led painting services initiative.
