Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have poured ₹33,691 crore into Indian equities this September, driven by the US Federal Reserve's interest rate cut on September 18.
This marks the second-highest monthly inflow in 2024. FPIs have consistently invested since June, with total investments reaching ₹76,572 crore this year. Strong FPI inflows are boosting the Indian stock market and strengthening the rupee, which hit a two-month high. However, experts warn of potential market overheating as valuations stretch due to aggressive buying.
