On Tuesday, domestic markets saw a second straight day of gains, led by strong bank and financial stocks.
The Nifty 50 closed above 24,450, adding 127.70 points (0.52%) to reach 24,466.85, while the S&P BSE Sensex climbed 363.99 points (0.45%) to 80,369.03. Initially trading flat due to mixed global cues, indices dipped into negative territory before rebounding in the second half. Banking giants like SBI (up 5.13%), ICICI Bank (up 3.08%), and HDFC Bank (up 0.96%) boosted performance. Mid-cap and small-cap indices also saw gains, adding 0.74% and 0.71%, respectively.
