Intel says it will sack 18000 staff cut 20 billion in expenses

Intel has announced plans to cut about 18,000 jobs, reducing its workforce by over 15% as part of a $20 billion cost-cutting strategy.

This move follows a $1.6 billion loss in the last quarter and underperformance in ramping up its AI PC products. Despite hitting key technology milestones, Intel faces increased competition from Nvidia, AMD, and Qualcomm.
