One Tweet, ₹3,625 Crore Gone: Ola Electric’s Shocking Stock Plunge

Ola Electric’s stock fell by 6.18%, wiping out ₹3,625 crore from its market value, after comedian Kunal Kamra posted a tweet criticizing the quality of Ola scooters. He shared a photo of scooters at a service center, questioning if Indian consumers were treated fairly.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal fired back, accusing Kamra of posting a “paid tweet” and jokingly offered him a job. The tweet added to Ola’s troubles, with over 10,000 complaints and a show-cause notice. The stock dropped to ₹85.21 from ₹157.53 in August.
