Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has proposed creating a new township in India dedicated to startups, aiming to foster a vibrant ecosystem for entrepreneurs, incubators, and innovators.
This initiative, suggested during the launch of the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) portal, would help develop infrastructure similar to Silicon Valley. Goyal recommended partnering with the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) to create this space, potentially ranging from 100 to 500 acres.
