Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman confirmed that the privatisation of public sector undertakings (PSUs) is a firm decision by the Union Cabinet.
However, she emphasized that the government will choose the optimal time for implementation. The decision comes as PSUs, including banks and insurance companies, have shown significant growth, with their combined market capitalization increasing by 225% over the past three years.
