For the first time, India's mutual fund monthly SIP contributions crossed the ₹25,000 crore mark in October 2024, hitting ₹25,323 crore, up from ₹24,509 crore in September.
This surge reflects a growing trend of disciplined investment as more retail investors choose equity-focused SIPs. Mutual fund folios reached a historic 21.65 crore, with retail mutual fund folios at 17.23 crore, marking record highs. Retail AUM, encompassing equity, hybrid, and solution-oriented schemes, stood at ₹39.18 lakh crore. Additionally, October saw 63.7 lakh new SIP registrations, with a total SIP AUM of ₹13.3 lakh crore.
