Sensex Gains 317 Points, Nifty Crosses 24,000; ZEEL Soars 7.5%

The Indian stock market opened on a strong note on Friday, November 29, with the Sensex rising 317 points to 79,360.44 and the Nifty50 climbing 104 points to 24,018.25.

ZEE Entertainment shares surged 7.5% after shareholders rejected the reappointment of Punit Goenka as a director. Major Nifty50 gainers included Cipla, Dr. Reddy's, Sun Pharma, M&M, and Adani Ports. Top losers were Power Grid, Shriram Finance, Coal India, ITC, and Tech Mahindra. Almost all sectors witnessed healthy buying, boosting market sentiment early in the session.
