Vodafone Idea Shares Hit 52-Week Low Despite Revenue Growth and Debt Issues

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) shares dropped to a 52-week low, trading at ₹6.69, a 3.18% decline. The telecom operator reported a 4% revenue growth to ₹109.3 billion in Q2 FY25, but a net loss of ₹71.8 billion.

VIL's 5G rollout is set for Q4FY25, backed by ₹300 billion deals with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung. The company added 42,000 4G sites and aims for 1.1 billion 4G coverage by March 2025. Despite operational progress, VIL struggles with ₹1.4 trillion in spectrum debt and AGR liabilities of ₹703 billion.
