Warning Against Scammers Offering Fake Rewards to Clients

Nithin Kamath, the founder of Zerodha, has alerted people to a new scam where scammers impersonate Zerodha employees to steal money.

In this scam, a fake Zerodha employee claimed a client had won an award and could claim a reward after paying a registration fee of Rs 1.8 lakh. The scammer even created fake bank statements to deceive the client. Fortunately, the client didn't fall for the scam and alerted Zerodha.

Kamath highlighted the use of fake clone apps to create fraudulent trading videos, urging people to be skeptical of such scams and verify documents directly from the source.
