Mahindra & Mahindra’s CEO Rajesh Jejurikar says the company is ready to challenge global giants like Tesla and BYD in India’s EV market.
With a massive ₹12,000 crore investment in electric mobility, Mahindra launched two electric cars—BE 6e and XUV 9e—starting at ₹20 lakh. Jejurikar highlighted the cars’ global luxury features at aggressive pricing, developed in just three years. Confident in India’s talent, he stated, "We welcome global players but question if they can match us at these prices." Mahindra projects EVs will cover 30% of India’s market by 2030.
